the middle path

"We were so impressed at how you handled our wedding photography - we had a great time with you! My parents as well as wedding guests have been complimenting you - they were so impressed with you as well - you were non-invasive, yet in the middle of it all- perfect! We just wanted you to know that!"

red toe nails

What's with the feet!??
There's something about a white dress and feet. Sometimes it's the funky sandals, or classy shoes. Or in this case it's the simple red toe nails and small foot that contrasts with the sweep of the dress and the pattern of the rug.
I realize it's simply a picture of a foot but don't you appreciate it more now that I've elaborated upon it?
If you want me to photograph your wedding (and foot), contact me at info@robertcastagna.com to see if your date is available.

private galleries

Not every photograph is for everyone to see! That's why I now have password protected private galleries. All of your pictures are now available online ready for you to share only with those you wish. Friends and family can review the day and even order pictures if they want to. But it's kept private so that if you so desire, you can keep it a secret and tell no one! To visit the site where one can find such private postings go to Boston wedding photographer's private galleries. But don't try and open them up, you won't be able to!!!

flickr anyone?

While I'm not a big flickr user (maybe I should be?) I thought I'd mention how you as a client could use flickr to your advantage. Because I often provide ownership of all images digitally, the wedding couple is free to duplicate and post the images to share with family and friends. More and more sharing is done via the internet with postings to photography sharing sites and slideshows (times have certainly changed). Chris and Natalie took the photographs and posted them on flickr: a flickr wedding. Chris is also a photographer who enjoys edited his own pictures, so the images were given to him in their raw format and he was free to edit, convert to black and white and do other creative things with the pictures!

Boston Public Garden

Whether for engagement photographs, an elopement, or wedding formals the Boston Public Garden is one of the best places for pictures in the city of Boston. Located right in the middle of all the action, yet proofed against the hustle and bustle of city life, the public garden is a great getaway right in the middle of the city. With the scenic backgrounds of the pond, the Boston cityscape or a simple park bench there is always plenty of shade and spots to find the perfect picture. For general information on the park visit Boston Public Garden. For specific park information and rules regarding wedding photography in the Boston Public Garden visit the city's website on Wedding and Photography Policy.

Eloping?

Are you planning a large wedding or a simple elopement. I love to photograph both. This elopement was performed in a quiet, shady nook of the Boston Public Garden close to the Arlington Street side and near the George Washington statue. The JP (Justice of the Peace) performed a ceremony that lasted about 15 minutes, the wedding couple recited their own vows and then we took a stroll throughout the gardens to get pictures along the pond. Contact Robert Castagna Photography at 617.833.9271 to schedule your event, no matter what the size.

details, details

The details:
It's all about the details

Like planning a wedding or event, photography is all about the details. Part and parcel to any photograph are its details. It's an intrinsic element of any photographic image, as the still photograph allows one to look and study the small details that might otherwise pass us by in the process of living. This may be one of the main pulls that attract us to photography as art. Therefore when I'm photographing an event, or searching for an image to exhibit as art, I am always looking for the overlooked detail.

Getting ready...

Events in black and white:
Getting ready pictures

Some of the best moments are before the main event has even started. Getting ready photographs reveal the high emotion before the ceremony and show the fun and interaction between close family and friends.

Robert Castagna provides unlimited time in his Signature event package allowing for coverage of every phase of the wedding or event day. Whether the last dance or the moment the dress is put on for the first time, Robert captures the moment as it unfolds.
