wedding couple

I was photographing a wedding in Hudson Massachusetts this past weekend and after the ceremony and family pictures were done we took a little walk to a bridge that was just down the dirt road. We were warned not to go down the road as it was muddy, but Brianne the bride was game for it and the setting sun was perfect. Her bravery was well paid off. Along the way we stopped for some posed pictures but as always the more candid pictures make for those decisive memories and great moments. Providing a bit of space and time for the couple to relax and take in the day, I sometimes photographed from afar making for a beautiful candid moment.

chinese wedding

I had a great time photographing a Chinese and Vietnamese wedding this past weekend. It started early in the morning with tea ceremonies and beautiful pink dresses. Then a change into the traditional American wedding dress and a gorgeous ceremony overlooking the Boston skyline. I really like experiencing the different cultures and seeing the way various cultures express their wedding traditions.

Boston wedding moments

My favorite wedding moments are the intimate moments together. They are usually shared by the newly weds shortly after the ceremony and provide a time for reflection in an often fast-paced day. It is my job to document such moments in an unobtrusive way. Above you can see moments shared at the Boston Public Garden. The Lagoon Bridge provides a romantic and iconic Boston backdrop. As black and white photographs they become timeless memories. There is nothing that captures the mood and expression of the event like photojournalistic candids. I always advise to be yourself and pretend I'm not there. I could never pose such wonderful pictures.

Boston engagement pictures

An engagement session is a great way to commemorate a wedding pledge and commitment and shooting engagement pictures can be lots of fun. For example Greg and Emily met at The Place in Boston (a restaurant and bar) so we started our photography session there. With stops at Faneuil Hall we then made our final destination Christopher Columbus Park along the Boston Harbor. We had a great time, being creative and finding beautiful spots along the way using the trees, leaves, benches and trellis of the park.

With a booked wedding date, an engagement session is $150 and provides you with a disc of over one hundred engagement photographs in high resolution and fully edited for your own use. Please contact me to see if your wedding date is available and best of luck in your wedding planning!
