The Shadow of Italy
Opening Reception October 29, 2009
Robert Castagna is a Boston based artist and photographer who uses cultural abstraction as a means of expression. His series on Kyoto will be on display in his first solo museum show in 2011. His latest work L’Ombra dell’Italia (The Shadow of Italy) will be on view at Rolly-Michaux Gallery come November.
"Italy - rich with artisanship, splendor and beauty - is part of my heritage, and has cast its influence upon my life and family. In this series, I have focused on the elusive shadow to accentuate and counterpoint the color, texture and feel of my photographic images.”
L’Ombra dell’Italia, a solo show will be on view at Rolly-Michaux Gallery of Boston from October 29 - November 28, 2009. Opening reception on Thursday October 29th, from 4 to 7. For more information contact the gallery at 617.536.9898 or visit http://www.castagnastudio.com
Volunteering your time?
I've been spending some of my time this summer volunteering at the Cambridge Senior Center where I teach photography. I find it a great way to meet new people. Are you a volunteer? If so let me know. I'm providing a 10% discount on the Signature Package for those who volunteer their time on a weekly basis.
