Spirituality and great spiritual leaders foster and promote great art. One needs to look no further than Buddha. The latest feature article contained in the April Issue of Art and ANTIQUES Magazine is entitled In Search of the Perfect Buddha.

The above photograph is part of a series of 29 Kyoto photographs available at Rolly-Michaux Galleries at 290 Dartmouth Street in Boston. Select images from this series will be on show at the Brookline Arts Center throughout April and the first half of May.

Boston Wedding Moments:

Artful wedding moments are best accomplished with natural light (or judiciously used flash), gentle direction and unobtrusive and candid camera use. The above moment was captured using the large open windows, the lines of the empty pews and the subtle glow of the wedding couple. The image is universal yet personal and a beautiful memory of the day.

Boston Wedding Moments:

Wedding pictures can be made fun and natural by taking a few moments to put yourself within the setting in a way that is outside the normal formal picture taking mode. Using large windows, the pews, interesting stairwells, etc. all can add interesting moments. And while there are the usual posed pictures much of the "in-between shots" are the best - showing great interaction and spontaneous emotion.

While my style is unobtrusive and candid in approach, I love to provide gentle recommendations and advice to best use the surroundings for beautiful pictures.

In my studio I not only meet with wedding and event clients but also use the space for inspiration of my many artistic projects. Its several large windows allow natural light to enter but more importantly allow my mind to wander freely outside to create. One's workspace is a vital tool that fosters creativity.
