Bat Mitzvah Photography

As we discussed earlier, I am a former commercial photographer, and chose you to shoot Rachel's bat mitzvah based primarily on your on-line portfolio. Yes, you were recommended by Janie Haas, and that gave us some comfort, but one never really knows until the "prints" arrive.

"We actually got a good sense of how things might turn out on the day of Rachel's bat mitzvah. It is not uncommon to hear words of praise from guests: on the food or the decorations. I don't ever before recall hearing such praise from the guests about the photographer. We heard numerous comments from both family and friends about how courteous, sensitive, and professional you and your assistant were throughout the day.

"It is not uncommon for the photographer to come off as pushy or in the way. It is a job, and you have to "get the shot". But it is foremost a gathering of friends and family to celebrate a mitzvah. You were sensitive to that fact, mixed in where needed, and slipped into the woodwork when that was called for. In short, you managed to "get the shot" and keep the spirit of the day.
